Baton Rouge, LA — St. Vincent de Paul Baton Rouge (SVDPBR) is delighted to present its inaugural Santa Shop on Saturday, December 20, a festive community event full of holiday joy and family fun. The Santa Shop will be a joyful, dignified experience where parents select toys for their children and families share in the magic of the season.
Special guests Sylvia Weatherspoon and Bishop Michael Duca will be on hand to share gifts.
The Santa Shop invites families to come together to celebrate the season. Children must be present to participate, and each child will receive a pre-wrapped gift, based on availability. Guests will enjoy interactive stations, creative activities, and the opportunity to take photos with Santa, all supported by enthusiastic community volunteers.
“We’re so excited to bring families together for a morning of laughter, smiles, and holiday magic,” said Sunnie Johnson-Lain, President & CEO of SVDPBR. “The Santa Shop is all about celebrating our community and spreading joy throughout the holiday season.”

This joyful event is made possible through longstanding partnerships with Sylvia’s Toys for Christmas, whose mission is to create lasting holiday memories for children by providing toys and special moments—and Channel 2 WBRZ, helping bring this community celebration to life.
Adding even more holiday cheer, Chick-fil-A will be on-site serving their famous biscuits, ensuring that families enjoy a warm, tasty treat while celebrating the season.
