A little girl at St. Vincent de Paul’s Sweet Dreams Shelter recently reminded us
of something profound.
She was sitting outside, gently blowing bubbles into the warm Baton Rouge air.
With every shimmering globe that rose and danced in the sunlight, her laughter
filled the space—and for a moment, the hardships she and her family faced were lifted.
That simple joy, found in the midst of struggle, is at the very heart of our
mission.
At St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge, our Sweet Dreams Shelter provides
more than a roof and a bed. It offers safety, comfort, and the chance for
children—like the little one with her bubbles—to dream, to laugh, and to be
children again. Every meal, every blanket, every night of rest is a step toward
renewal and hope.
But we cannot do it without you.
