in-kind donations
What is an In-Kind Donation?
An in-kind donation means giving goods, services, or professional skills instead of money. At St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge, these gifts help us feed, clothe, shelter, and care for our neighbors while making the best use of what we receive.

In-kind gifts might be food, clothing, furniture, household items, hygiene products, or other supplies we need. Some donations go straight to people in need, while others are sold in our thrift stores to help fund our programs. Businesses and professionals can also help by offering their skills, equipment, or services.

If you donate items you no longer need or organize a donation drive, your generosity can bring comfort, dignity, and new opportunities to someone going through a tough time.
Please contact us before donating to check what we currently need, what items we accept, and how to arrange your drop-off.
Host an In-Kind Donation Drive

Turn your community's generosity into hope for our neighbors.

Since 1865, St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge has worked to feed, clothe, house, and heal people in need. In-kind drives are one of the most powerful ways to help. Every item collected goes directly to our shelters, dining room, pharmacy, dental clinic, and thrift stores, and that helps neighbors in crisis move toward stability.
Your group can be a family, classroom, church, team, office, neighborhood, or a few friends. If you want to help, you can host a drive.
Why an In-Kind Drive?

Drives fill the shelves that keep our programs running. Our neighbors need hygiene items, household basics, and other essentials, and we rarely fund them from our budget. When you collect them, you let SVDP use precious resources to support the people we serve.
