Every summer, parents, caregivers, and kids come to St. Vincent de Paul Baton Rouge with a quiet worry: Will they be ready for the first day of school? Will they feel like they belong? For many of the families we serve, purchasing uniforms is simply out of reach. When rent, food, and electricity demand every dollar, there’s little left for new clothes.
