Every summer, parents, caregivers, and kids come to St. Vincent de Paul Baton Rouge with a quiet worry: Will they be ready for the first day of school? Will they feel like they belong? For many of the families we serve, purchasing uniforms is simply out of reach. When rent, food, and electricity demand every dollar, there’s little left for new clothes.

But that’s where hope steps in—with you.

The Uniforms for Kids Program is a simple, beautiful act of love. With your help, we aim to provide 16,000 uniforms to 8,000 local students this year. One uniform costs just $12—and two uniforms can give a child the confidence to walk into the classroom proud, prepared, and full of promise.

For the children we serve, the world can sometimes feel uncertain. But your generosity says: You are seen. You are valued. And you deserve to start this school year strong.

This effort is made possible through a heartfelt partnership between WAFB Channel 9, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health, First American Bank & Trust, the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair Foundation, the Sunrise Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, the Albemarle Foundation, and all of us at St. Vincent de Paul. Together, we’re giving a hand up to children and families across our 12-parish region.
