Each morning, children staying at Sweet Dreams Shelter for Families shoulder their backpacks and head to school.

To most people, it looks like an ordinary school day.

 

For these children, it means much more. It is a return to routine, hope, and the promise of a brighter future.

Recently, a mother and her two children arrived at Sweet Dreams with more than just a few belongings. They brought the uncertainty that comes when home is no longer safe. They needed more than a roof over their heads. They needed a place to start over.
