St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge is hosting its “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” Drive-Thru Food Distribution on Saturday, November 15, to provide immediate food assistance to our neighbors affected by rising food insecurity and uncertainty surrounding Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
The need in our community has increased significantly, as many households face limited access to nutritional support programs that typically offer stability during the winter months. During this drive, St. Vincent de Paul will distribute food boxes to the first 150 households.
As the largest provider of no-cost daily meals in the Baton Rouge region, St. Vincent de Paul operates a network of food pantries that serve thousands of residents each month, dedicated to meeting essential needs while providing dignity, hope, and compassion.
Residents who wish to support this effort can make monetary donations online at http://www.svdpbr.net/give-svdp or send contributions by mail to: St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge, P.O. Box 127, Baton Rouge, LA 70821.
Media is encouraged to attend.
